In a difficult market, at a popular price point, and in a sought after area there was a lot of competition for every house we viewed. We had done a lot of research into buyers agents and didn’t want to take a chance at us negotiating, with so much money at stake. We had a 3 month campaign with Jacque Parker from House Search to find an investment unit on the lower north shore.  We had an easy relationship with Jacque and at all times she was friendly, prompt with all correspondence and was easily contactable.  We felt that our requirements and opinions re: properties were similar and we were never shown any property which was not of interest or didn’t fulfil our criteria.  Jacque was diligent and thorough in sourcing suitable properties and arranged viewings to suit our needs.  Her market analysis of properties was detailed and contained even more information than we required.  A weekly appraisal of the market was equally detailed.  Jacque was also able to recommend building inspectors, conveyancers and property managers to assist in securing a sale and further tenancy arrangements.  Her services extended to the completion of the sale with accuracy and good attention to detail. It was noted that in a market where property prices were escalating quickly, Jacque was quite conservative in her expectations of prices, where other buyers were obviously much more aggressive. We were fortunate to secure a property which we believe was reasonably priced and represented very good value in a market which was moving very quickly. When setting out on the journey to purchase a property in Sydney (whilst living in Brisbane) we were conscious that we knew very little about the market and wary of the traps, particularly when buying quickly was a priority. For me to enter the property market whilst working overseas was an impossible task.
